Gustavo Vinagre, who last appeared at the festival in 2022 with the opening film, “Três tigres tristes”, and co-director Vinícius Couto, who also plays Matias, take an unflinching look at all these facets, which are two sides of the same coin – first the party, then the hangover. For in their search for freedom, but above all for closeness and connection, the protagonists push their bodies and souls to the limit and run up an emotional debt that they will later pay off painfully.A paixão segundo G.H.B. is sexy, repulsive, dirty, fascinating – and radically value- free. Yet no one will come away from this film feeling indifferent.
