Mit Kaffee, Tee und veganen/vegetarischen Snacks machen wir es uns gemütlich und laden alle queeren Filmkreativen herzlich zum Networking und Austausch ein!
Kommt vorbei, bringt eure Fragen und Geschichten mit und lasst uns gemeinsam darüber sprechen, wie queere Filmkultur heute und morgen widerständig, sichtbar und verbindend bleiben kann.
Zum Auftakt der Veranstaltung hält Regisseurin und Queer Icon Monika Treut eine Keynote. Als Wegbereiterin des internationalen und deutschen queer-feministischen Kinos präsentiert sie Impulse aus ihrem neuesten Film COOKING UP DEMOCRACY. Der Film zeichnet die aktuelle Widerstandsgeschichte Taiwans nach und zeigt, wie Demokratie dort vor allem von queer-feministischen und zivilgesellschaftlichen Akteur*innen verteidigt wird. Weitere internationale Festivalgäst*innen teilen ihre Erfahrungen, bevor wir in ein offenes Networking-Get-Together übergehen.

Im Anschluss besteht die Möglichkeit, vor Ort zu verweilen und die
Gespräche weiterzuführen.
Die Veranstaltung findet auf Englisch statt; deutschsprachige Beiträge
können übersetzt werden. Eine Simultanübersetzung erfolgt jedoch
nicht.

some networking and discussion!
Please join us, bring your questions and stories with you, and let’s talk about
how queer film culture can remain defiant, visible and unifying, both today
and tomorrow.To kick off the event, director and queer icon Monika Treut will deliver a keynote speech. As a pioneer of international and German queer-feminist
cinema, Monika will share insights from her latest film, COOKING UP
DEMOCRACY. The film traces Taiwan’s recent history of resistance and shows how democracy there is defended primarily by queer-feminist and civil society
activists. Other international festival guests will share their experiences before we
move on to an open networking get-together.

Afterwards, there will be an opportunity to stay on site and continue the
discussions.
The event will be held in English; German-language contributions can be
translated. However, there will be no simultaneous interpretation.
