Genau das passiert Bianca (13 Jahre) an einem heißen Sommertag, an dem nicht nur die Hitze drückt, sondern alles in ihrem Leben zu eng scheint: Ihr Vater und dessen neue Freundin finden sie zu anstrengend und wollen sie nicht mehr so oft am Wochenende bei sich haben. That’s exactly what happens to 13-year-old Bianca on a sweltering summer’s day, when it’s not just the heat that’s getting to her, but that everything seems to be closing in on her. Her father and his new girlfriend find her too much to handle and don’t want her to visit at the weekend quite so often anymore. Her mum doesn’t understand her and only has eyes for her little brother Alan, who has a heart condition, and somehow Bianca isn’t quite sure
who she really is either. The encounter with her favourite actress, Billie King, sends Bianca on a heartfelt and imaginative journey through everyday family life and a world of dreams, in search of a place of her own.
