SMILE AND BURN is known as a guarantee for wild live concerts, a humorous online presence, a clear political stance and a sound that drives forward. On their seventh studio album "Seid ihr stolz auf mich?" (Are you proud of me?) the cards are almost entirely reshuffled.
A new seriousness and gravity have taken hold and the winking gallows humor that previously ran through their lyrics has given way to introspective self-reflection. The band explores the charged concept of "pride" on a personal level, resulting in the most thematically dense work of their discography.
With more experiments in sound, airier song structures, and uncompromisingly melancholic lyrics, they ensure nothing is repeated. The punk rock SMILE AND BURN delivers on this 12-track album is more stripped down and raw than ever before. Ort der Veranstaltung
Das Waschhaus in Potsdam ist das größte Kulturzentrum Brandenburgs und dient seit 1993 als gemeinnütziger Raum für Kunst und Kultur. Die ehemalige Garnisonswäscherei bietet als „Haus für alle“ ein vielfältiges Angebot für jeden Geschmack. Jährlich zieht es mehr als 100.000 Besucher ins Waschhaus, um international renommierte Künstler und junge Nachwuchstalente live zu erleben.
Das Veranstaltungsrepertoire reicht von Konzerten und Tanzaufführungen über Kabarett- und Comedy-Shows bis hin zu Lesungen und Kunstausstellungen. In den warmen Monaten finden dort zudem das Sommer Open Air Kino sowie mehrere interaktive Programme statt. Neben dem ehemaligen Wäschereigebäude bespielt das Waschhaus auch die Räumlichkeiten der Waschhaus Arena, des Kunstraums Potsdam und die Oxymoron Dance Company, welche sich in unmittelbarer Nähe befinden.
Da das Waschhaus bereits 1880/82 erbaut wurde, ist die Fassade ganz im Stile der preußischen Baukunst mit gelb-roten Backsteinen verkleidet. Seit seiner Sanierung im Jahr 2007 erstrahlt das Waschhaus in neuem Glanz und erweist sich weiterhin als wahrer Besuchermagnet.
