Where Do We Meet ist eine choreografische Arbeit für fünf Performer*innen über die sich wandelnde Architektur menschlicher Beziehungen. Körper, Gegenstände und Raum beeinflussen sich fortwährend und bilden temporäre Systeme der Orientierung, die entstehen, sich verändern und wieder verschwinden. Vertraute Situationen tauchen auf, geraten aus dem Gleichgewicht und ordnen sich zu immer neuen Konstellationen.
Anstatt Bewegung als festgelegte Choreografie zu verstehen, entwickelt sich die Arbeit aus Prozessen des Wahrnehmens, Reagierens und Anpassens. Beziehungen werden ständig neu ausgehandelt – zwischen Nähe und Distanz, Rhythmus und Zögern, Individualität und Gemeinschaft. Jede Begegnung hinterlässt eine Spur. Jede Handlung verändert die Bedingungen für die nächste.
Die Bühne wird zu einer lebendigen Landschaft im Wandel, in der Stabilität nur ein flüchtiger Moment ist und Veränderung zum eigentlichen Zustand wird. Dort, wo Orientierungspunkte verschwinden, entstehen neue Möglichkeiten der Verbindung.
Ohne lineare Erzählung oder eindeutige Auflösung lädt Where Do We Meet das Publikum dazu ein, Zusammenleben als einen fortwährenden Prozess zu erleben. Die Performance fragt weniger danach, wo wir uns begegnen, sondern unter welchen Bedingungen Begegnung überhaupt möglich wird.

Ort der Veranstaltung
In die ehemaligen Werkstätten der Berliner Verkehrsbetriebe direkt am Ufer der Panke im Wedding ist neues Leben eingezogen. Die Hallen sind zu 14 großzügigen Studios, mehreren Büros und Künstlerateliers umgebaut worden. Die frühere industrielle Nutzung ist sichtbar und der Werkstattcharakter lebendig geblieben.
Impulsen aus der freien Tanzszene und dem Netzwerk TanzRaumBerlin folgend, konnte die Uferstudios GmbH diesen neuen Standort für zeitgenössischen Tanz mit Unterstützung der Lottostiftung realisieren. Seit der Eröffnung im Jahr 2010 bieten die Uferstudios Choreografen, Tänzern und anderen Künstlern den Raum für professionelles Arbeiten in einem inspirierenden Umfeld, das auf Offenheit und Partizipation setzt.
Impulsen aus der freien Tanzszene und dem Netzwerk TanzRaumBerlin folgend, konnte die Uferstudios GmbH diesen neuen Standort für zeitgenössischen Tanz mit Unterstützung der Lottostiftung realisieren.
