Die Kompakt-Konzert-Reihe des hr-Sinfonieorchesters zur Afterwork-Zeit für alle, die
anregende Konzertmomente lieben und es eher kurz und knackig mögen. Ideal auch für
Klassik-Einsteiger*innen.
Präsentiert werden populäre Meisterwerke und auch die exquisiten Solist*innen des hr-
Sinfonieorchesters sind dabei im Sendesaal des Hessischen Rundfunks näher kennenzulernen.
Jean Sibelius’ populärste Sinfonie sowie ein Cellokonzert von innigem Ausdruck aus der
Feder Robert Schumanns bietet dabei der Saison-Auftakt. Das zweite Programm steht in der
Adventszeit voll im Zeichen von Winter und Weihnachten, mit einem starken barocken
Akzent. Und das dritte »Quick & Classy« vereint schließlich drei folkloristisch geprägte
Werke: mit polnischen Volksmelodien bei Lutosławski, südamerikanischen Farben in
Ginasteras Harfenkonzert und einer wirbelnden italienischen Tarantella im Finale von
Schuberts 3. Sinfonie.

Symphony will be introduced in the broadcasting hall of Hessischer Rundfunk.
Jean Sibelius’ most popular symphony and a deeply expressive Cello Concerto by Robert
Schumann mark the start of the season. The second programme, during the Advent season, is
all about winter and Christmas, with a strong Baroque accent. And finally, the third »Quick &
Classy« programme combines three Folkloric-inspired works: Polish folk melodies in
Lutosławski, South American colours in Ginastera Harp Concerto and a whirling Italian
tarantella in the finale of Schubert Symphony No. 3.
